About the Role

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stratford, East London , is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join its committed teaching team. This is a full-time, permanent position , suitable for both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers (ECTs).

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a class within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 , planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all pupils. You will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, social development, and personal growth within a structured and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Primary Teacher in Stratford, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum in line with the National Curriculum

  • Creating an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment that meets the needs of all pupils

  • Differentiating teaching to support learners of varying abilities, including SEN and EAL pupils

  • Monitoring pupil progress through formative and summative assessment and adjusting teaching accordingly

  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement, promoting pupils’ independence and resilience

  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development alongside their academic progress

  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and senior leadership to deliver interventions and targeted support

  • Participating in pupil progress meetings, curriculum planning, and school-wide initiatives

  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil achievement, behaviour, and wellbeing

  • Keeping accurate records of pupil performance, development, and assessments

  • Actively participating in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and other professional development opportunities

  • Upholding safeguarding, child protection, and school policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The school is seeking a Primary Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 (ECTs welcome)

  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and a positive, consistent approach to behaviour

  • Is committed to inclusive education , supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds

  • Can differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners

  • Is reflective, proactive, and committed to ongoing professional development

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, parents, and colleagues

  • Works collaboratively as part of a professional team

  • Is passionate about making a lasting difference in children’s lives

Experience supporting pupils with SEN, EAL, or additional learning needs is highly desirable, although not essential.
