SEN Teaching Assistant
Much of the role involves 1:1 support, helping pupils engage with learning and daily routines.
Many students are non-verbal and work best with structured methods such as PECS, visual cues, and ABA strategies.
With small class sizes and strong teamwork, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils feel safe, supported, and confident to learn. Ideal Candidate: Patient, empathetic, and motivated to support SEN learners.
Experience or knowledge of autism, communication needs, PECS or ABA is an advantage – but not essential.
Graduates (particularly psychology, education, or related fields) and college leavers are warmly encouraged to apply.
Full-time availability is required to provide continuity for the children. What the School Offers: Paid trial weeks to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
A well-structured training programme, meaning no prior school or SEN experience is needed.
Excellent career progression routes within a supportive SEN environment.
An inclusive, friendly, and dedicated staff team who will mentor and guide you. This role is perfect for someone looking to start their journey in education or SEN and build long-term skills and experience in a supportive setting. Apply today to secure your place in the next trial week!#INDMP
