Cyber Security and Identity Consultant - 6 Month Contract - London / Hybrid - £650 p/d

A global Media business is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to join its Global Technology Operations team. This role has significant strategic visibility and influence, supporting enterprise-wide security initiatives across a complex international environment.

Reporting to the VP of Global Operations, the successful candidate will act as the key conduit between the CISO Office and Global Technology Operations - driving the security roadmap, strengthening security governance, and ensuring consistent protection of global platforms and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and evolve the Global Technology Operations security roadmap in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
• Lead security governance activities, including risk assessments, control design, and policy development.
• Partner with the CISO Office to identify, prioritise, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across the organisation.
• Support the coordination and delivery of security initiatives covering threat management, vulnerability reduction, incident response, and assurance activities.
• Provide guidance on identity-related security controls (e.g., principles of privileged access, RBAC, and identity governance) without being solely dedicated to IAM delivery.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Consultant, Security Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of security standards, risk management, incident response, and enterprise security tooling.
• Familiarity with identity security concepts (IAM, RBAC, least privilege) as part of broader security responsibilities - without being an access management specialist.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or similar are highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of authentication and security protocols, with scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python) being beneficial.
