Cover Supervisor
Smart Teachers are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of well-established secondary schools in the London Borough of Hounslow.
About the role
The Role:
• Supervise whole classes during teacher absence
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work
• Provide clear feedback to teaching staff following lessons
Opportunities are available for day-to-day supply, short-term cover, and longer-term placements.

We work closely with a diverse network of mainstream secondary schools and academies across Hounslow. These schools benefit from supportive senior leadership teams, well-structured behaviour policies, and inclusive learning environments. Many are easily accessible via strong transport links, including the Piccadilly Line, South Western Railway services, and local bus routes.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:
- Experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Confident leading a classroom independently
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Graduates considering a career in teaching are encouraged to apply
- Flexible and adaptable approach
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Right to work in the UK
