Senior Design Systems & Accessibility Designer
PCR Digital is working with an impressive, scaling, innovative fintech company currently hiring for a Design System Visual Designer . This central role sits within the design systems team and focuses on driving component creation and visual standards to support new product launches across Web, iOS, and Android. You will shape the evolution of the complex and tokenised design system , balancing visual craft , interaction design , and scalable component implementation in partnership with engineers and designers.
You AreYou're an experienced product designer with a sophisticated eye for visual design, typography, colour, and layout , and a deep understanding of interaction design . You think in systems, thrive on collaboration, and bring a strong grounding in accessibility standards while focusing primarily on visual and interaction excellence. You are motivated to support adoption of scalable design components and semantic tokens across libraries and codebases, while working closely with cross?functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Create and evolve design system components for Android, iOS, and Web, ensuring they are visually refined, scalable, and accessible to basic WCAG standards.
- Translate UX/UI intent into atomic components that balance aesthetic quality with functional robustness.
- Conduct design reviews of coded components and contribute interaction and micro-interaction patterns that improve usability.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure components are design?ready and practical across platforms.
- Work closely with brand and product designers to document and embed a cohesive visual and interaction language across the design system.
- Partner with designers and squads to drive adoption of system components and action feedback for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to governance processes for component creation, tokens, and system scalability.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in component design and design systems beyond Figma.
- Portfolio demonstrating sophisticated visual design : strong typography, colour theory, layout and cohesive interface design.
- Proven experience designing fluid interactions and microinteractions that enhance product usability.
- Comfortable collaborating with engineers and bridging design with implementation.
- Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards , with the ability to design inclusive components.
- Experience with semantic HTML, CSS practices, and awareness of React and native mobile frameworks .
- Skilled in working with semantic design tokens and familiar with system tooling like Supernova.
- Ability to adapt designs responsively across iOS, Android, and web platforms.
- 5+ years' total Product Design experience, ideally within Fintech or Payments .
- Previous involvement in central design teams within product?led businesses.
