Live-In Nanny - Chiswick/Hammersmith area
2 girls, ages 5 & 3 | ASAP start | Long-term position
£600–£700 gross per week depending on experience
A friendly and easy-going family are looking for a warm, fun and experienced live-in nanny to join their family on a long-term basis, caring for their 2 gorgeous girls, aged 5 and 3.

The eldest is at primary school and the youngest attends nursery 4 days a week. Both parents work full time but are very hands-on, and they are looking for someone who will become a valued part of family life whilst being confident taking sole charge.

This would be a fantastic role for a nanny who is energetic and fun, but equally calm, confident and consistent. The girls have lots of energy, so the family would love someone who genuinely enjoys being with young children, getting outdoors, arranging activities and playdates and creating a happy, engaging environment at home.

The ideal nanny will be proactive and organised with plenty of initiative. They are looking for someone who doesn't need to be micromanaged and can confidently manage the children's day-to-day routine and think ahead.

A strong but warm personality would work really well with this family – someone who can set clear boundaries while remaining kind, patient and positive. A good sense of humour and the ability to cope with the everyday chaos of a busy family home are also important!
HOURS
Term time:
Monday–Thursday: 7.15am–10.15am and 2.15pm–7pm
Friday: 7.15am–7pm

School holidays – approximately 16 weeks per year:

Monday–Friday: approximately 7.15am–7pm

The family also require 6 evenings of babysitting per month, including 1 Saturday evening.

Some flexibility during term time would be really appreciated in the event that one of the girls is unwell or there is a school/nursery closure.

THE ROLE
The nanny will be responsible for all aspects of the girls' day-to-day care, including:

• Getting the girls dressed and ready in the mornings
• School and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups – walking/public transport
• Planning fun and age-appropriate activities
• Organising playdates, classes, parks and outings
• Encouraging learning and development through play
• Planning fun days and activities during the school holidays
• Cooking fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children
• Batch cooking and keeping the freezer stocked with children's meals
• Children's laundry and ironing, including school uniforms
• Managing the girls' wardrobes and making sure they have everything they need
• Keeping bedrooms and play areas organised and tidy
• Packing school/nursery bags and preparing everything for the following day
• Bath and bedtime routines
• Preparing the weekly grocery list
• Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy after preparing children's meals
• General child-related organisation and housekeeping

The family employ a cleaner twice a week, so this is very much a nanny role rather than a general housekeeping position. The nanny would simply be expected to take responsibility for the girls' belongings, bedrooms, laundry and areas used during the working day.
