Teaching Assistant/ Learning Mentors - Richmond Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant/ learning mentors looking for a rewarding role supporting young people who need it most? We are seeking several enthusiastic Teaching Assistants & Learning Mentors to join a specialist educational setting that supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a nurturing environment where relationships, resilience and positive outcomes are at the heart of everything.

  • Monday-Friday 8.15am-4pm

The Role - Learning Mentor / Teaching Assistant
  • Support students both in and out of the classroom to help them engage with learning.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to education.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to support student progress.
We're Looking For
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, either in schools, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, care or support settings.
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people overcome challenges and succeed.
