The Role

Smart Metering Performance Lead at SO ENERGY

Reporting into our Head of Metering, Pete Stapleton👋, we’re looking for a Smart Metering Performance Lead to join the team. 

As So Energy continues to expand its Smart Metering capabilities, we are placing greater emphasis on leveraging data and performance insights to drive strategic decisions and enhance operational efficiency.

This role will support the Head of Metering and key stakeholders by delivering actionable insights, identifying performance trends, and enabling data-driven improvements across our metering operations.

What you’ll be getting up to:

• Develop and deliver data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and improve performance across metering activities
• Analyse metering performance data and KPIs to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Support the Head of Metering and key stakeholders in reviewing and monitoring performance across all metering related services, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure commercial obligations are met and drive continuous performance improvements
• Support invoice reconciliation from key vendors, ensuring accuracy and accountability
• Build strong working relationships across the business and influence stakeholders at all levels to support metering initiatives

This role will be a great fit if:

• Proven experience and working knowledge of metering operations
• Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL or similar) to support performance monitoring and decision-making
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the business
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently, with strong planning and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
• Adaptable and eager to continuously learn and improve processes through data-driven approaches
