Love music, getting outdoors and making every day different?
At HFH Healthcare , we're looking for compassionate, enthusiastic and proactive Complex Care Assistants to support a sociable young woman with complex care needs in her family home in Kensington.
Our client loves dance music, music videos, nature, water and spending time outdoors . She particularly enjoys walks in the park, sensory activities and anything involving music and rhythm.
We're looking for someone who will bring ideas, take initiative and actively engage with her , helping her enjoy a varied and fulfilling daily routine.
She communicates non-verbally through facial expressions, gestures and familiar cues, and uses assistive technology to help express herself.
You'll play an important role in encouraging her communication, offering meaningful choices and supporting her to develop greater independence.
This isn't just about completing care tasks. It's about helping someone explore, learn, communicate and enjoy life.
What will you be doing?
Providing personalised care, companionship and supervision.
Planning engaging activities around music, nature and sensory experiences.
Supporting walks, park visits and community outings.
Encouraging communication using gestures, familiar cues and assistive technology.
Helping her develop everyday skills and make meaningful choices.
Supporting epilepsy and seizure management in line with her care plan.
Assisting with mobility, falls prevention and safe community access.
Providing personal care, continence support and daily living assistance.
Supporting meals, medication and wellbeing.
Working closely with her family and the wider clinical team.
What are we looking for?
At least 6 months' experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker.
A kind, patient and naturally engaging personality.
Someone proactive, creative and confident using their initiative.
A genuine interest in music, activities and community engagement.
Excellent observation skills and a calm approach to changing needs.
Willingness to learn individual communication methods and assistive technology.
Confidence supporting someone with epilepsy, mobility needs and a high risk of falls.
A commitment to dignity, independence and person-centred care.
Comfortable working in a family home with a large dog.
Above all, we're looking for someone who will encourage her to do more, experience more and enjoy more — rather than simply doing everything for her.
