Luggage Porter - LondonWaldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking a Luggage Porter to join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality leader to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.

Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Caf Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the world's most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

We are looking for hospitality professionals who are passionate about delivering an exceptional fives star guest experience, consistently upholding the worldclass service standards recognised by Forbes.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

The Luggage Porter delivers consistently exceptional and intuitive service, supporting Guests throughout their arrival, stay, and departure. This role is instrumental in luggage handling, laundry coordination, and the creation of seamless, gracious first impressions.

As a Luggage Porter, you will engage directly with our Guests and play a critical role in shaping their initial and lasting perceptions of the hotel. Responsibilities are performed to the highest luxury standards and include:

  • Welcome arriving Guests with polished professionalism, safely receiving vehicles and providing clear, confident reassurance regarding secure handling.
  • Provide seamless laundry support as required, ensuring all washing cycles, folding, and storage are completed with precision and care
  • Maintain a welcoming lobby and entrance presence, offering consistently courteous, attentive, and anticipatory Guest service
  • Deliver prompt, efficient, and personalised service to individual Guests and Group arrivals
  • Proactively communicate relevant Guest feedback or operational matters to the Head Porter or Concierge Supervisor on duty
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of messages, correspondence, and internal communications throughout the day
  • Assist with room moves, luggage deliveries, and Front Door operations in full compliance with standard operating procedures
  • Oversee the secure handling, storage, and retrieval of both short-term and long-term luggage for arriving and departing Guests
  • Maintain public areas and operational equipment in immaculate condition at all times
  • Liaise proactively with Security regarding any unattended or suspicious luggage
  • Greet all Guests warmly in public areas and Guest rooms, consistently demonstrating polished professionalism and genuine hospitality

  • Impeccable grooming, presentation, and personal conduct

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Previous experience in a similar Front of House or Porter role
  • Prior experience within a hotel or luxury hospitality environment
