Site Manager – Structural Refurbishment / Cut & Carve

Ridgeway & Co are working with an established main contractor delivering complex cut and carve refurbishment projects in London, as they look to recruit a capable and proactive Site Manager to oversee upcoming schemes involving structural alterations, façade retention, and internal reconfigurations.

These projects typically require a hands-on and technically confident manager, with a deep understanding of live environment constraints, temporary works, and logistically challenging sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site operations and subcontractor coordination

Oversee health & safety, quality, and compliance procedures

Coordinate sequencing of structural works and internal packages

Liaise with project and design teams to ensure smooth workflow

Monitor site progress against programme and provide updates to the PM

Manage site logistics including deliveries, access, and temporary works

Requirements:

Proven experience delivering structural refurbishment or cut and carve projects

Sound understanding of temporary works, structural sequencing, and safety protocols

SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS (Black or Gold card preferred)

Ability to manage subcontractors effectively and maintain site discipline

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills

Central London project experience preferred
