BMS Project Manager
🌍 Join the UK's Leading Independent BMS Specialist
Are you an experienced BMS professional ready to lead high-impact projects in one of the world’s most dynamic cities?
Looking for a hybrid role that offers flexibility, autonomy, and genuine career growth?
At BMSI, we’re proud to be one of the world’s largest independent, employee-owned Building Management Systems companies. We design and deliver smart, energy-efficient solutions that make buildings better — and we’re passionate about developing the people who make it happen.
We’re now looking for a BMS Project Manager to join our Central London team. If you’re driven by quality, leadership, and client success — we want to hear from you.
🚀 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Take full ownership of BMS project delivery — from kick-off to commissioning and closeout
- Create and manage detailed project plans (budgets, timelines, resources, risks)
- Lead site teams, engineers, and subcontractors across a portfolio of London-based projects
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and internal teams — keeping communication clear and outcomes aligned
- Oversee on-site activity, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and technical standards
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement
- Identify commercial opportunities, variations, and additional client requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure full contractual compliance
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a BMS Project Manager, or a senior engineer ready to step up
- Ability to read and understand mechanical & electrical drawings, specifications, and BMS control narratives.
- Proficient with Microsoft Project and Excel for project scheduling and financial tracking.
- Proven ability to manage projects up to £500k in value, preferably within commercial, healthcare, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Trend, Tridium, Siemens, or similar BMS platforms
- Project planning and delivery expertise using recognised methodologies and tools
- Great communicator — able to lead teams and build lasting client relationships
- Strong commercial awareness and cost control understanding
- Problem-solver with a detail-driven, proactive mindset
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to project sites across London
Qualifications:
- HND/HNC/Degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar (preferred).
- Manufacturer training and/or certification in Trend, Siemens Desigo, or Distech (desirable).
- SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS card (desirable).
We offer the following benefits:
- Highly competitive salary based upon skills and experience
- A generous bonus scheme
- Standby allowance
- A wide-ranging company car scheme (that includes fully electric vehicles) or the option of driving your own car and being paid a monthly car allowance
- BMSI is an employee owned company, which you would become part of after 12 months service
- A contributory pension scheme (the Company contributes 6% of your basic salary)
- Free private medical insurance with BUPA
- Life assurance of 4 x annual salary
- 25 days holidays, plus public holidays, with the opportunity to buy an additional 3 days per annum.
- Cyclescheme up to £2500, designed to encourage our workforce to keep themselves fit!
Take the first step towards an exciting future, with a company that is as committed to you as it is creating a more sustainable future. We can't wait to hear from you!
BMSI is an equal opportunities employer.
