In addition to this, working across several areas of the business liaising with key stakeholders across Writer and Publishing Relations and Copyright teams also requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of the music company of the future. What You’ll Bring
Preferred:
- A meticulous, detail-driven mindset with a proven track record of maintaining high standards of accuracy when handling complex datasets.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- The resilience to remain focused and productive through repetitive, high-volume quarterly cycles while consistently meeting strict deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical or data-related issues clearly to stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with confidence in decision-making and problem-solving within a fast-paced operational environment.
Additional Skills That Could Add Value:
- A good understanding of music publishing, with previous administration, copyright, or royalty processing experience.
- Basic Excel knowledge and experience working with data-heavy tasks.
What Success Looks Like
By Month 3: You’ll have developed a strong understanding of Kobalt’s royalty identification processes, ingestion workflows, and the wider scope of the Royalties team and department. During this period, your primary focus will be supporting high-volume identification work, building confidence in handling incoming royalty data accurately and efficiently while learning the quarterly processing cycle.
By Month 6: You’ll be confidently managing high-volume identification work with a strong level of accuracy and consistency. Depending on progression, you’ll begin supporting additional identification workflows and potentially assisting with imports, while proactively identifying discrepancies and contributing to the smooth delivery of quarterly royalty cycles
By Year 1: You’ll be a trusted expert in royalty identification and high-volume data processing tasks, confidently managing ingestion workflows, import formats, and complex identification issues.
