Role: Hindi-Speaking Nanny / Governess

Schedule: Full-Time, approximately 8:00am–7:00pm (negotiable)

Salary: £60,000–£80,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)

A warm family are seeking an experienced, educated and nurturing Hindi-Speaking Nanny / Governess to care for their baby, with a particular emphasis on early childhood development, language acquisition and cultural education.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and enjoys creating a stimulating, engaging and nurturing environment from the very beginning. The family are particularly interested in finding someone who can introduce Hindi naturally through everyday interaction, reading, storytelling, songs and educational play, with the longer-term aim of developing the child's confidence in speaking, reading and writing the language.

Alongside language development, you will focus on supporting the baby's developmental milestones, introducing age-appropriate sensory activities, creative play and early learning experiences that encourage curiosity, cognitive development and confidence. As the child grows, the role will naturally evolve to incorporate more structured educational activities, including an introduction to Indian history, traditions and culture.

The family already have support within the household, and Mum will be at home for the first six to nine months, so they are looking for someone who is comfortable working collaboratively with parents and other household staff. Over time, the position will develop into a more independent role, with the successful candidate confident taking full charge and providing proxy parenting when the parents travel.

A strong educational background, excellent communication skills and a genuine understanding of early childhood development would be particularly beneficial. The family would love to find someone who can offer both the warmth and attentiveness of an experienced Nanny and the educational focus of a Governess.

There is considerable flexibility surrounding the position. The family are open to both live-in and live-out arrangements, with the working schedule and start date negotiable depending on the candidate. An initial part-time arrangement may also be considered before transitioning into a full-time position.
