Reception Teacher Responsibilities
· Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
· Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports children’s curiosity and independence.
· Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners and ensure progress for every child.
· Observe, record, and track children’s development, using assessment to inform planning and next steps.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to promote positive outcomes for all pupils.
· Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, enrichment activities, and community engagement.
Reception Teacher Requirements
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
· Experience teaching in Early Years or Reception (EYFS).
· Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment practices.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills.
· Passionate about early childhood education and committed to nurturing each child’s potential.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
