Join Our Team as Nursery Assistant Practitioner

We’re seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Assistant Practitioner to join our welcoming Early Years team in Oakfields Preparatory School. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young children in their early development.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, learning, and development support for children aged 2-5 years.
• Create engaging play-based learning experiences aligned with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Encourage children's independence, confidence, and social skills.
• Facilitate both indoor and outdoor learning activities.
• Observe children’s progress and ensure their wellbeing.
• Maintain high standards for safeguarding, health, safety, and welfare.
• Contribute to activity planning, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Level 3 or above Early Years qualification required.
• Experience working with children aged 2-5 years in an Early Years setting.
• Warm, patient, caring, and passionate about Early Years education.
• Ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive team.
• Paediatric or Emergency First Aid qualification desired.
• Additional Early Years training or qualifications desired.

Working Conditions

You will work in an independent day school in , providing care and education for children aged 3–11 years. Your role will involve:

• Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Contract: Permanent | Term Time.
• Small class sizes and nurturing environment.
