Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef in their Education sector to join our team at the University of East London, E16 2RD on a permanent basis.

We are currently recruiting a chef to join our team at UEL docklands, onsite we have a number of catering outlets and we are seeking an experienced chef to support the delivery of meals, grab and go and hospitality events within campus while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations an operational standards

Job Responsibilities

  • Cooking and preparing food ready for grab & go & lunch service, ensuring minimal wastage. Supporting functions/hospitality events.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team of chefs and acting as a trainer/ coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
  • Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals.
  • Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records. 
  • Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries. Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence.
  • Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.

Key Requirements:

    • Previous catering experience required
    • Excellent team player
    • Excellent communication abilities
    • Understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures
