Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join the Community Therapies team on a locum basis. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of community settings, supporting children and young people with complex communication needs.
You will be delivering speech and language therapy services in clinics, nurseries, schools, and colleges, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those with diverse and often complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide assessment and intervention for children and young people with complex communication needs
- Deliver therapy across multiple community settings including nurseries, schools, and colleges
- Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards
- Adapt therapy plans to meet individual needs and educational environments
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration and eligibility for RCSLT membership
- Proven experience working with complex needs in community settings
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
