DT Technician | Camden (Inner London)

We are excited to be working with an Outstanding secondary school in Camden to recruit a high-calibre and enthusiastic DT Technician. This full-time, permanent position is available for an immediate start and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Design & Technology department. We are looking for a proactive individual who can provide meticulous technical support, ensuring the workshop remains a safe, creative, and inspiring environment for students to achieve their highest potential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and equipment for KS3, KS4, and KS5 practical lessons

• Maintain and service workshop machinery and hand tools to ensure consistently outstanding quality

• Support the department in upholding the highest standards of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations

• Assist students and staff during practical sessions with technical expertise

• Manage the procurement of materials and maintain an organised stock control system

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience as a technician or a strong background in a trade/creative industry

• Proficiency in using workshop machinery (circular saws, lathes, etc.) and CAD/CAM software

• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to workshop safety

• Must have the right to work in the UK
