Key responsibilities:
- Utilise data analytics, market trends, and customer behaviour insights to generate precise demand forecasts for groceries and household goods, taking into account seasonality and trends.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the S&OP process.
- Work closely with the supply chain team to maintain inventory levels, ensuring product availability whilst minimising excess stock and waste.
- Define and track KPIs relevant to online grocery and convenience retail, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
- Proactively identify and address potential supply chain risks, implementing contingency plans to minimise disruptions and maintain consistent product availability.
- Lead regular S&OP meetings with relevant stakeholders to review performance, discuss demand-supply gaps, and align on corrective actions.
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimise the S&OP process and systems, enhancing efficiency, agility, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- At least 4 years previous experience in demand forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning and supply chain management, in the online grocery or retail industry.
- Degree in Mathematics and Computing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with proficiency in using G-suite packages and advanced Excel tools. SQL and Python skills are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and distribution strategies specific to the online grocery and convenience sector.
- Capacity to analyse and predict potential gaps and related root causes in the supply chain dynamics
