Senior Associate - Real Estate
6+ PQE | High-Value Residential Property | UK Law Firm
The opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate (6+ PQE) to join a highly regarded Residential Real Estate team within a leading UK law firm.
The team advises on a broad range of complex, high-value residential property matters, working with a diverse client base and collaborating closely with colleagues across multiple practice areas and offices nationwide.
The firm's real estate practice is recognised by leading legal directories, while the residential team is ranked for high-value residential real estate work in London and nationally. The team also forms part of an award-winning private wealth practice, working alongside highly regarded family and private client teams to deliver comprehensive, joined-up advice to clients.
The team's clients include high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, household-name media personalities, professional athletes, international royalty, trustees and family offices. The property portfolio ranges from prime London residences and luxury mansions to listed country houses and apartments in prestigious developments.
Having grown its expertise and client base significantly in recent years, the team is entering an exciting phase of development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take a visible role within an established, market-leading practice, contribute to its continued growth and build strong relationships with clients and professional advisers.
About you You will be an experienced residential real estate lawyer with at least six years' post-qualification experience, gained at a high-calibre firm. You will have a strong track record in high-value residential property transactions and a well-developed understanding of the Building Safety Act and its implications for residential property sales and purchases involving individual clients.
You will be confident managing substantial direct client contact, working with family offices, intermediaries and professional advisers, and developing trusted relationships from an early stage.
You will also demonstrate:
- A commitment to exceptional client service, supported by strong commercial judgement and tailored, pragmatic advice.
- A proactive approach to building and strengthening client and adviser relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across multiple teams and offices.
- Excellent written English and strong drafting skills.
- Effective negotiation, lateral thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong time management, matter management and organisational skills.
The firm is committed to developing its people, supporting career progression and creating an environment where individuals can build their expertise and make a meaningful contribution. Its culture is underpinned by ambition, openness, care and collaboration, with a focus on achieving excellent outcomes for clients and colleagues alike.
