Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Junior Quant Developerto join our high profile client.

Our client is a small unique prop trading firm trading in a very unique market. They have around 200 employees with 3 offices globally. Much of what they do is a closely guarded secret that fill be discussed through the process. Their performance is market leading.

The role sits next to the Chief Quant helping to solve unique problems as well as well as keeping their prop trading function keep running.

The Quant Developer will design and implement quantitative applications that support critical business processes. I am looking for highly motivated candidates with a passion for excellence and a desire to use technology to solve critical business problems. Technologists at the quant team are ambitious, innovative and committed to client service and, by working in close partnership with both internal and external clients, exemplify the collaborative, team-driven environment.

The quant team supports or are directly involved in many key business areas from market making, proprietary trading to data modelling, business analysis and product design

Responsibilities:

• Solving quant problems
• Prototyping
• implementing mathematical models for products and business processes
• developing and enhancing in house applications for trading
• liaising with quantitative analysts and other team members including other developers and quantitative assistants to maintain and understand user requirements
• work with quant assistants and other internal users and stakeholders on the testing and delivery of applications
• participate in the full development lifecycle

Candidates MUST have:

• A PhD in computing or mathematics from a TOP 20 UK University
• strong database techniques
• knowledge of matlab or modelling and statistical packages
• self-motivation and willingness to work in an energetic, fast paced and team oriented development environment

This is a role for someone who has a bright mind as well as being keen to make serious money doing something you are passionate about.
