Why work within a specialist SEN school?
Working as a Speech and Language Therapist within a school allows you to see pupils regularly and work closely with the adults supporting them every day.
Rather than therapy existing separately from education, your strategies can be built directly into classroom teaching, communication systems, transitions, social interaction and everyday routines .
You will work alongside experienced SEN professionals and have the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge across Autism, complex communication and wider SEND.
These roles would suit both an experienced paediatric Speech and Language Therapist and a therapist looking to develop their career further within specialist education.
