Job Title: SEN Teacher Location: Waltham Forest Salary: £150 to £220 per day (dependent on experience) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, long-term GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to work in a highly supportive special school located in Waltham Forest. This role is ideal for educators with experience in teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs including MLD, ASC, and SEMH. The school is well-resourced and committed to ensuring every learner receives personalised support and access to a meaningful education. Responsibilities: Deliver tailored lessons to students with special educational needs across various key stages. Create an inclusive, supportive and nurturing learning environment. Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs and parents to ensure consistent and effective provision. Develop and implement individual learning plans in line with EHCPs. Monitor and assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Promote positive behaviour management and engagement in learning. Candidate Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification. Previous teaching experience in SEN/SEMH/ASC/MLD settings is highly desirable. Strong understanding of individualised teaching approaches and the SEND Code of Practice. Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
