Join WTW's UK Property & Casualty Consulting Practice and help shape the future of actuarial and capital modelling solutions for the insurance industry. As an Actuarial Modelling Consultant (Igloo), you will work alongside some of the market's leading experts to design and implement innovative modelling solutions that support insurers with capital strategy, reinsurance purchasing, portfolio optimisation and risk management. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise, client engagement and thought leadership while contributing to the development of next-generation actuarial solutions.

The Role

• Design, develop and implement actuarial and capital modelling solutions that address complex client challenges and support strategic decision-making.

• Deliver high-quality analyses and project outcomes while building trusted relationships with clients through effective communication and technical expertise.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across WTW to develop innovative solutions that leverage the latest technologies and modelling techniques.

• Contribute to the development of intellectual capital, modelling methodologies and market-leading actuarial propositions.

• Support business development activities through proposal development, client presentations and identifying new opportunities.

• Represent WTW through thought leadership, specialist research, industry engagement and the publication of technical insights.

• Mentor and support junior colleagues, fostering collaboration, capability development and knowledge sharing across the team.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

• Experience in actuarial, capital modelling or model development roles within an insurance company, consultancy or related environment.

• Strong understanding of capital modelling principles and their application to business strategy, risk management and reinsurance decision-making.

• Experience with model development, coding and analytical toolsets used within the insurance market.

• Knowledge of leading capital modelling platforms, with Igloo experience highly advantageous.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and creative thinking skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholder groups.

• A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation, mentoring others and delivering exceptional client outcomes.
