Design and Technology Technician - Popular Secondary school located in the Hillingdon borough - Asap start

Smart Teachers is pleased to be working with this popular co-Educational secondary school located in the borough of Hillingdon. The school are looking to appoint a Design and Technology Technician asap on a permanent basis.

About the role

The ideal candidate would be competent in the set-up, use and maintenance of workshop equipment and machinery, new technologies such as laser cutting and 3D printing and art processes. It will involve preparing resources and equipment for lessons: hard materials: woods, metals and plastics, as well as maintaining machinery and ordering supplies.A knowledge of basic engineering and/or mechanics would be highly advantageous. The working Hours are Monday Thursday 8am- 3.45pm and Friday 8am - 3.30pm

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Design and Technology Technician - Popular Secondary school located in the Hillingdon borough - Asap start you will:

• Be able to operate CAD CAM Machines
• Exhibit students work
• Sharpening of hand tools
• Experience working with Engineering and Graphic technology material and Equipment
• A degree or equivalent education
• A Enhanced DBS or open to getting one
