Interim Banking & Finance Lawyer – Project Finance (5+ PQE)
Location: UK-based (occasional travel to Bristol required)
Office: Flexible office attendance makes this role suitable for candidates based in London or across the UK
Contract: 3-6 months (with potential to extend)
Day Rate: £900- £1,000 (depending on experience)
Start: ASAP

A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced Banking & Finance Lawyer (5+ years PQE) to join their renowned Banking & Finance team on an interim basis. This role will focus on Project Finance across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, transport, digital, social projects, and other large scale commercial developments.
About the Role
You’ll be joining a market leading team, delivering support on complex financing transactions. The work will involve advising on all aspects of project finance structures, acting for a mix of lenders, sponsors, and developers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre lawyer who enjoys delivering transactional work in a flexible, non-partnership-track setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on a range of project finance matters, including structuring, documentation, and execution
- Drafting and negotiating finance documents (loan agreements, security packages, intercreditor agreements)
- Supporting large-scale infrastructure and capital projects across a variety of industries
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, often working independently or with limited supervision
- Providing commercially focused, pragmatic advice to all stakeholders
About You
- Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in Banking & Finance
- Significant exposure to project finance transactions , whether acting for lenders, sponsors, or borrowers
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills; familiarity with LMA-based documentation
- Proactive, commercially minded, and confident operating with a degree of autonomy
- Comfortable working flexibly, with strong communication and time management skills
- Available at short notice for a 3–6 month engagement
