Interim Finance Officer
Location: Central London, a short walk from Baker Street
Working pattern: Hybrid, two days onsite each week
Hours: Full–time, 35 hours per week

Robertson Bell is seeking an Interim Finance Officer to join a busy finance team and provide cover during a period of high workload. You'll help maintain day to day finance operations and work through a backlog, following established processes.
Key responsibilities
- Process approximately 40–50 purchase ledger invoices per month.
- Prepare weekly BACS supplier payment runs, with payments of up to GBP1 million.
- Reconcile income received through CRM and expenses systems.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Process urgent grants and foreign currency payments.
- Monitor the finance shared inbox and respond to queries within agreed timescales.
About you
You'll have around 3–5 years' experience in purchase ledger, income processing and supplier statement reconciliation. You're organised, accurate and comfortable managing a busy workload while following established procedures.
You'll also bring:
- Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables.
- Confidence learning new finance systems; experience with Iris v7 is helpful but not essential.
- A practical, hands–on approach and the confidence to ask questions when needed.
The role is full–time, with two days onsite each week. A basic DBS check is required, which may affect the start date.
