The mission of Document Ingestion is to design and operationalize market-leading capabilities at scale across the value chain and distribution channels. We enable our customers to receive faster, more accurate quotes and pricing decisions with minimal human touch, while advancing Chubb's underwriting expertise via automated machine learning models.

As the Head of Doc Ingestion for COGyouwill lead Chubb's key strategic initiative to automate and modernize data ingestion processes across the insurance value chain for COG This role requires a results-oriented leader with deep expertise in data integration, automation, and insurance domain operations. As a Lead, you will drive the planning, execution, and delivery of end-to-end ingestion initiatives, ensuring alignment with Chubb's business priorities and digital transformation goals.

This position requires exceptional technical and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams, partner with senior executives, and implement innovative, scalable integration solutions that enhance operating efficiency and deliver measurable business outcomes.

More specifically, you will:

• Lead global teams of Data Engineers, collaborating with product owners, business leaders, and technology stakeholders to deliver strategic integration initiatives.
• Experience of working with large transformation programs, delivering to tight timescales, within budget while maintaining quality and leading teams across the globe.
• Partner with product CIOs and senior transformation leaders to align document ingestion objectives with Chubb's broader digital transformation strategy.
• Cultivate a high-performance culture by managing hiring, conducting performance reviews, and mentoring team members to achieve operational excellence.
• Act as a key interface between global stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity across complex matrixed environments.
• Oversee the planning and execution of large-scale integration programs, managing budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver measurable business transformation benefits.
• Implement cloud-based integration platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Kafka) to automate data ingestion pipelines and enable real-time, scalable solutions.
• Oversee the seamless integration of platforms and pipelines using Azure cloud, Kafka, with microservices written in Java and Python, ensuring efficient data flow and connectivity.
• Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with established release cycles and enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with system integrators and technology suppliers to deliver innovative solutions that meet Chubb's regulatory and compliance standards.
• Provide strategic insights on emerging technologies, including APIs, microservices, and machine learning models, to optimize ingestion and integration processes.
• Develop and execute integration strategies that enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy while supporting the seamless integration of global business units.
• Establish data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and regulatory alignment across all ingestion initiatives.
• Track and analyze the performance of integration programs using defined KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement in delivery and efficiency.
• Support the development of dashboards and reports to provide real-time visibility into program outcomes and progress.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale integration or data transformation programs in highly matrixed environments.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Kafka, Databricks) and experience in designing and implementing scalable data ingestion pipelines.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python programming, with the ability to navigate and optimize systems built on multiple languages.
• Experience addressing and managing technical debt, ensuring scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions across multi-language platforms.
• Strong knowledge of insurance domain operations, including underwriting, claims, and policy administration systems.
• Experience working with APIs, microservices architecture, and automation tools to deliver innovative solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Ability to manage diverse and globally distributed teams, driving clarity and alignment among stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders across business and technology functions.
• Preferred: Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Certified Cloud Solution Engineer) or integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect).
