What to Expect

At POP MART, you'll be part of a boutique-sized company with bold plans for expansion and a vibrant, multicultural team. As a member of our newly established Visual Merchandising department, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping our growing presence in the market—while enjoying exciting opportunities for career growth as we continue to scale.

You can expect to:

  • Gain practical experience across the full retail landscape from store to exciting marketing events.
  • Collaborate with a diverse, international team in a supportive and creative environment.
  • Be part of the foundation of visual merchandising training and help shape the retail landscape through innovative, impactful design.
  • Receive structured training in visual merchandising, retail operations, and product knowledge.

The Role and Candidate

We’re looking for a talented UK Visual Merchandiser to join POP MART’s expanding UK team. Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising and working closely with our Retail and Marketing teams, you’ll play a key role in bringing our distinctive brand experience to life across all UK retail locations.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the visual identity of one of the world’s leading designer toy brands within a growing UK market.

The role places strong emphasis on set and display design, including the creation of bespoke installations while still adhering to brand guidelines. We’re seeking someone who can think creatively, drive visual impact, and contribute to sales growth through engaging and consistent brand storytelling.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute compelling regional visual merchandising strategies that align with POP MART's global brand guidelines while resonating with the UK market.

  • Design and implement eye-catching window displays, in-store layouts, and product presentations that highlight our designer toy collections
  • Lead training sessions for store teams to ensure consistent and accurate execution of visual standards
  • Support new store openings and marketing events, assisting with setup and on-site training
  • Conduct regular store visits across UK locations to maintain visual consistency and provide hands-on guidance to retail staff
  • Collaborate with the Retail and Marketing teams to create seasonal displays and promotional campaigns that drive foot traffic and enhance sales performance
  • Work closely with HQ Visual Merchandising and Design teams to localize global directives and tailor them to the UK audience
  • Analyse visual merchandising performance, using customer engagement and sales data to refine and optimize display effectiveness

Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Visual Merchandising, Retail Design, Event Setup, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in visual merchandising, ideally with premium lifestyle brands. Experience in designer toys, collectibles, or fashion accessories is a strong advantage
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative visual storytelling and brand-aligned display concepts
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a solid understanding of spatial planning and product presentation
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural, cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing responsibilities across multiple retail locations
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly across UK locations, including occasional overnight stays

Desirable but Not Essential

  • Experience in window and set merchandising, particularly within a global brand and fast-paced retail environment
  • Strong understanding of local market trends and customer preferences in the designer toy, collectible, or accessories sector
  • Prior experience managing or supporting a multi-store retail portfolio
  • Familiarity with Asian pop culture and current designer toy trends, including the influence of social media on customer engagement and brand perception

Benefits

POP MART offers our employees:

Selected POP MART toys as appreciation gifts every month

A structured bonus/commission scheme in line with the company’s and the individual’s performance

Comprehensive training and development programs

Regular team social events

Paid rest breaks
