A creative and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher with a focus on Food Technology is required to join an Outstanding Girls' school in Islington. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their understanding of nutrition, food science, and culinary skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design & Technology Teacher lessons focusing on Food Technology at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Develop students' knowledge of healthy eating, food preparation techniques, and the science behind cooking.
• Assess and monitor student progress in Design & Technology, providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning.
• Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum and promote healthy eating initiatives within the school.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology, ideally with a strong interest or specialism in Food Technology.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Design & Technology with a focus on Food Technology at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Strong practical skills in food preparation and a good understanding of nutrition and food safety.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, capable of inspiring creativity and a passion for food in students.
