Senior UK/ US Tax Manager
We’re working with a Top 10 consulting firm to support the growth of its UK/US private client tax practice, advising HNW and UHNW individuals with complex cross-border tax affairs. They are currently hiring for a Senior UK/US Tax Manager and a Manager.
This is a heavily advisory role, with far less compliance than at most firms and a genuinely strong work-life balance. It’s a team that people stay with because of the clear, realistic path to Director and Non-Equity Partner.
You will act as a key client contact alongside the Partners, delivering high-quality advisory work with targeted, proportionate compliance.
Key responsibilities
● Acting as a primary client contact alongside the Partner
● Signing US individual tax returns (1040, 1040NR, 8858)
● Pre-immigration planning to the US
● UK/US treaty advice, including business profits, compensation and pensions
● Complex foreign tax credit planning
● Advising on US and foreign trust matters for settlors and beneficiaries
● Entity classification and check-the-box advice
● Exposure to CFCs, Subpart F and GILTI planning
● Leading projects and supervising junior team members
About you
● Strong experience in HNW private client US tax (not global mobility-led)
● EA qualified as a minimum (ATT also expected)
● Experience with people management responsibility
