Art Technician - Woolwich
A well-resourced secondary school in Woolwich is seeking a skilled and dedicated Art Technician to join its Art Department. Role Responsibilities
As an Art Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing materials, equipment, and resources for practical Art lessons across all key stages.
Supporting teachers and students during lessons, providing guidance on safe and effective use of materials.
Maintaining and organising Art resources, including storage of materials, equipment, and displays.
Assisting with the setup and installation of student work for exhibitions and school events.
Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations in practical areas.
Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as required to maintain resources.
Supporting departmental projects, workshops, and enrichment activities.
Candidate Requirements
Practical experience working with Art materials and techniques, ideally in a school or creative environment.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to practical Art lessons.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Enthusiasm for supporting creativity and student development.
