School Receptionist | Barnet Primary School | ASAP
We are working with a welcoming primary school in Barnet to appoint a Part-Time Receptionist for a temporary position. Starting this March, the school is looking for a friendly specialist who can manage the front desk on a 20-hour-per-week basis until July.
About the School This is a popular, two-form entry community primary school set in a quiet residential part of Barnet. The school is celebrated for its "family feel" and the warm welcome extended to every visitor. The administrative office is small and collaborative, requiring a team player who is happy to assist with everything from first aid to parent enquiries. It is a tranquil yet productive environment where staff wellbeing is highly valued.
The Role
Provide a warm and professional welcome to pupils, parents, and visitors.
Maintain the visitor sign-in system and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed.
Handle general enquiries via telephone and email promptly.
Assist the Office Manager with light clerical duties and filing.
Requirements
A human-like, empathetic approach when dealing with young children and parents.
Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
Salary £15.50 – £17.00 per hour (Depending on experience).
