We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Band 8A Medical Wards Pharmacist to join our team in London. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to work within acute NHS hospitals, providing essential pharmacy services to medical wards. Responsibilities:
As a Band 8A Medical Wards Pharmacist, you will be responsible for covering medical wards within acute NHS hospitals. Your duties will include validating TTAs (To Take Away medications), undertaking medicines reconciliation, and providing clinical advice to the multidisciplinary team (MDT). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, contributing to the overall quality of patient care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Significant experience of covering medical wards within acute NHS hospitals
- Ability to validate TTAs
- Proficiency in undertaking medicines reconciliation
- Capability to provide clinical advice to the MDT
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
