We are recruiting for a highly successful, well-invested food manufacturing business in West Yorkshire, looking for a talented and enthusiastic Engineering Shift Manager to take the lead on nights. What will you be doing? This is a varied, hands-on leadership role where no two shifts will be the same! You'll be responsible for keeping production running smoothly, supporting your engineers and driving improvements across the site. You'll be: Leading, motivating and developing your engineering team to deliver their best. Getting stuck into fault finding and troubleshooting when challenges arise. Managing planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum. Driving improvements in equipment reliability, efficiency and performance. Working closely with production to identify opportunities and solve problems. Championing health & safety and ensuring safe working practices. Coaching your team, sharing knowledge and building a positive, proactive engineering culture. What are we looking for? We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with great people skills and a genuine passion for engineering. Ideally, you'll bring: Experience as an Engineering Shift Manager, Team Leader or Supervisor within FMCG manufacturing. A Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent. Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills. Experience managing and developing an engineering team. A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to make decisions. Food manufacturing experience would be a bonus, along with HACCP knowledge. An 18th Edition qualification would be advantageous.
