The role
We are seeking a PR Manager to lead proactive and reactive public relations activity that enhances and protects our reputation. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs, you will develop and deliver PR activity, maintain media relationships and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and compelling external messaging.
You will also:
Develop and implement PR activity aligned to business objectives, with clear goals and measurable outcomes
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media
Write and edit press releases, reactive media statements, thought leadership articles, spokespeople briefings and other content as required
Prepare spokespeople for interviews
Respond promptly and professionally to incoming media enquiries, ensuring accurate and timely information is shared
Use data and evaluation insights to shape and refine future PR strategies and improve effectiveness
Provide counsel to senior leaders on reputation issues and crisis communications as required
Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role you will have:
Proven experience in an in-house public relations role, in financial services or other regulated industry.
Experience in developing B2B stories ideally within the insurance industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling ability for business and consumer audiences
Demonstrable track record of securing impactful media coverage and delivering measurable campaign results
You'll have a media contacts book and experience of collaborating with PR agencies
Confident presentation and stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leaders
Degree or relevant professional qualification (desirable)
