The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic  Commis Chef to join our Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars team. In this role, you will support the wider culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences across our diverse outlets. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining Hyatt’s reputation as a leading hospitality company, while developing your skills and growing within a dynamic kitchen environment.

As a Commis Chef, you will play a foundational role in food preparation and service, working under the guidance of senior chefs to ensure consistency, quality, and creativity in every dish. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a career in culinary arts within a luxury hotel setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients and executing dishes to the highest standards across multiple outlets.

• Mise en Place: Ensure your station is well-stocked, organised , and ready for service, contributing to smooth kitchen operations.

• Learning & Development: Actively engage in training, absorbing new techniques, and seeking feedback to improve your culinary skills.

• Compliance & Hygiene: Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in line with HACCP and company policies.

• Team Support: Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen porters, contributing to a positive and productive kitchen culture.

• Equipment Care: Keep tools and workstations clean and well-maintained, supporting overall kitchen efficiency.
