This isn't just a sales role; it's an opportunity to become a trusted advisor, a brand ambassador, and a key contributor to the success of both our customers and Hill's.

Here's a glimpse of what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Be a Business Development Ace: You'll dive deep into our customers' businesses, building strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in vet practices and pet stores. You'll identify opportunities, craft compelling technical and business propositions, and ensure our Hill's Prescription Diet, Science Plan, and VetEssentials brands are top of mind.
  • Empower Our Partners: Provide best-in-class professional support, including product detailing, in-clinic/store seminars, and technical training for veterinarians, animal care providers, and shop staff.
  • Drive Growth and Adoption: Implement commercial activities to ensure widespread awareness, full distribution, and active endorsement of Hill's products and services. You'll lead the charge in recruiting new users and ensuring our new products get rapid acceptance.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement annual joint business plans with key customers, conduct regular business reviews, and adjust strategies to meet agreed-upon goals.
  • Master Your Territory: Achieve territory sales targets by effectively planning and executing call value. You'll identify new accounts, maintain accurate records, and leverage all available company tools to drive execution.
  • Financial Stewardship: Monitor territory objectives, manage your assigned budget, and ensure timely submission of expenses.
  • Be a Product Expert: Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge in small animal nutrition, Hill's products, and competitor offerings through continuous learning and company training.
  • Represent Hill's: Attend and represent Hill's at various industry events, congresses, and exhibitions, staying ahead of trends and competitive activity.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in business development and sales, ideally within the animal health, pharmaceutical, or FMCG sectors.
  • Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to analyze business needs, identify opportunities, and develop effective commercial plans.
  • Results-Oriented: A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Independent & Organized: Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to manage a territory effectively, including planning travel and appointments.
  • Communication Pro: Excellent presentation, training, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Product Savvy: A passion for learning and the ability to quickly develop in-depth product knowledge. Knowledge of animal health or nutrition is a significant plus!
  • Territory Mobility: This role requires significant travel within the North London and East Anglia territory. A valid UK driving license is essential.
