Social & Content Director (relocation to Auckland, New Zealand)

Position Overview

We're looking for a Social & Content Director to lead social and digital creative across ZURU Edge's Baby portfolio: Millie Moon, Rascals, Hey Tiger, Night Pants and Era. You'll set paid and organic content strategy, lead creative direction from concept through to delivery, and lead the Social & Content Baby team. You're a senior leader who can walk into a room with brand marketing and business leaders and own the conversation on what great content looks like. This role is based in Auckland, New Zealand, and is open to candidates relocating.

Position Impact

Welcome to ZURU Social & Content Creative, where strategy, storytelling, technology, craft and creativity collide to fill feeds around the world with thumb-stopping, culture-defining ideas for our brands. In this role you'll build and lead the creative engine behind one of the fastest-growing baby portfolios in the world, reaching parents and caregivers globally. You'll lead a team of 5+ social and creative talents from day one, and have a direct line to the Executive Creative Director and senior marketing leaders, so your creative point of view shapes brand decisions, not just content. We don't make content for content's sake. We set the standard everyone else chases.

How you'll help us grow

• Own the social and content strategy, leading the ideation, development and delivery of paid and organic content across Millie Moon, Rascals, Hey Tiger, Night Pants and beyond

• Ideate brand campaigns that line up with brand marketing objectives across every brand in the portfolio

• Direct creative delivery: review edits, give feedback and champion creative excellence from concept through to final asset

• Work with Senior Brand Marketing, Design, Digital and Brand Engagement leaders and the Executive Creative Director to keep every campaign aligned to the wider brand vision

• Grow and develop a team of 5+ social and creative talents, setting clear expectations and running performance and development conversations

• Work with Paid Media & Digital to understand content and campaign performance, and adapt assets for continuous improvement

• Set the strategic content direction across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other owned channels for every Baby brand

• Run regular reporting and competitive content reviews, keeping the portfolio ahead on trends and platforms

• Work with market leaders to localise content, requests and campaigns for each market

What Helps You Win Here

• 8+ years in social, content or digital creative, including leading a social, content or creative team inside a social-first business

• Experience with baby, parenting, FMCG or family-first brands, in-house or agency, is essential

• A track record of setting paid social content strategy and optimising creative against media performance data, with Meta, TikTok, YouTube and their analytics as your second language

• Experience directing video and static content at scale across multiple markets, including localised adaptations

• A team builder and standards-setter: you mentor and grow talent, embed process over chaos, spot trends before they show up in a report, and hold every piece of work to a high creative bar, including your own
