About the Role

Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Supporting pupils in developing practical, analytical, and theoretical skills
Preparing pupils for GCSE Chemistry examinations
Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Supporting practical investigations and ensuring laboratory safety
Contributing to departmental curriculum planning and development
Participating in enrichment activities such as science clubs and STEM projects
Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have excellent subject knowledge in Chemistry
Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
Be able to motivate pupils and encourage engagement with the subject
Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
Be committed to continuous professional development
