This role is part-time, 3 days per week or equivalent (22.5 hours per week)
The UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI) is a globally leading multidisciplinary research institute of over 900 staff investigating the spectrum of neurodegenerative disorders causing dementia, driving a step change in our understanding of neurodegeneration, and accelerating the discovery, development and delivery of interventions that will help diagnose, treat, and ultimately prevent dementia.
About You
Partnering our distributed sites you'll be helping us build on our activities with a key focus on our recent Research Inclusion survey where actionable steps to skills and career development will have a positive impact both within the UK DRI and ultimately impacting our research for patients.
You'll help our wider teams create actionable steps, work in partnership with our Science team on career development and impact, and manage the overall actions for the UK DRI.
What we're looking for is someone to build on our ideas, bring these to life, and ultimately manage the data reporting. To give you an idea, projects will include schools outreach and women's PhD mentoring, where you will work with local experts across the UK DRI and help bring these to life across the network and measure.
You'll also be working on other people activities and work collaboratively across all teams, therefore flexibility and confidentiality will be key.
This is a new role, part-time, and would suit someone who is comfortable working alone and as part of a distributed team. You'll join a small People team where our programme of activities are focussed on our vision of healthy brain ageing for all.
The role can be based anywhere in the UK as long as you can travel to our Core team office at Regents Place in London and to our distributed sites as required.

- Understanding of inclusion, skills and career development within a research and/or academic settings desirable.
- Experience of working in and supporting a people function.
