Were seeking an experienced and creative Head of Development Chef to lead culinary innovation for one of Londons most prestigious events companies , delivering unforgettable dining experiences for high-profile private and corporate clients across the capital.

About the Role:

As Head of Development , youll be the driving force behind the evolution of our menus and food concepts. Working in collaboration with our talented events and operations teams, youll design exceptional seasonal menus, refine presentation standards, and ensure our culinary offering sets new benchmarks in quality, style, and execution.

Youll need a strong understanding of event catering operations , including logistics, volume prep, and the creative flexibility needed to deliver five-star food in off-site environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the culinary development function across all event offerings from canapé receptions to large-scale banquets.
• Create innovative, trend-led menus that reflect seasonal produce, sustainability, and exceptional quality.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef, kitchen teams, and event planners to translate client briefs into memorable food experiences.
• Ensure consistency in presentation, taste, and execution across all events.
• Conduct tastings, internal workshops, and supplier trials to push culinary standards forward.
• Stay ahead of food trends, competitor analysis, and customer preferences to keep the brand at the forefront of luxury catering.
• Support training, documentation, and roll-out of new menus across kitchen teams.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Senior Development Chef, Executive Chef , or Head of Development within luxury events, fine dining, or premium hospitality.
• Demonstrable event catering experience confident designing food that travels well and performs beautifully in diverse venues.
• Strong creative vision and a passion for delivering high-impact food with finesse.
• Highly organised with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable leading tastings, presenting concepts, and managing multiple development cycles.
• Knowledge of high-volume prep systems, allergen compliance, and sustainability in food production.
