Senior Transformation Manager 1 (12 Month Contract)
Please note, we have 2 Senior Transformation Manager roles open at the moment. We're looking for different levels of experience and strength areas in each of them so do take a look through and see which one you think you're more connected to.
In your application, make sure you let us know whether it's a Senior Manager 1 or Senior Manager 2 you're applying for
Who are you?
We are on the lookout for a Senior Manager to join our Transformation team for 12 months starting from around July. You’ll be helping Community, Acute Trusts and other healthcare providers adopt new technologies to improve patient experience and the way they operate.
The Transformation team is on hand for every client that uses the DrDoctor Platform to ensure they get the most out of it. At DrDoctor we want every installation of our platform to deliver the best possible results at every hospital, without exception. We help our partner hospitals through every step of the way. Over many years, we have come to be experts in delivering technology and transforming hospital services from the ground up.
You'll most likely have a background in consulting, change or programme management, with a strong track record of delivering technology or significant operational change in the NHS. At Senior Manager level, you'll be the person our clients rely on to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder programmes end-to-end, navigating trust governance, clinical and operational teams, and everything in between. You'll be comfortable holding yourself to a high standard, analysing the benefits your programmes deliver, and spotting opportunities to increase the value we bring to our clients. You’ll also be comfortable spotting and driving opportunities for growth of that client.
OK, that’s me, but who are DrDoctor?
Take a look at our careers page () to find out a bit more about our mission, vision, and impact!
But ultimately, we the NHS and want to help it work better. We radically transform the delivery of health services to make healthcare work for everyone – for patients, doctors, administrative teams and taxpayers.
DrDoctor was built on a simple belief: technology can transform the NHS. Our B Corporation certification holds us accountable not just for what we build, but for how we build it - and the impact that has on people, patients and the health system around us.
What would I be doing day to day?
One of the great things about a scale-up is that every day is different and there is always an opportunity to get involved in something outside of your ‘BAU’!
However, the key things you could expect would include:
Own the full delivery lifecycle for a portfolio of clients, from kick-off through to benefits realisation
Lead complex, multi-stakeholder programmes across clinical, operational, and administrative teams
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including at Director and C-suite level
Analyse and present programme outcomes and benefits data to non-technical audiences
Apply change management and consulting skills flexibly to solve operational and technical problems
Contribute to account growth by identifying opportunities to expand the value DrDoctor delivers
Contribute to team capability by sharing knowledge and supporting the development of more junior colleagues
We’d love to find someone who loves to collaborate and enjoys being in person. We operate a remote by default working approach but we do have a London office which we’d love to see you in as often as you can, although this isn’t mandatory and it's definitely not a deal breaker! We have people based all over the UK, and in India and we’re very well set up for remote working!
Depending on your role, we'd usually expect people to be in the office for team collaboration, attending some of our in person events, or with clients on a semi regular basis. For some, this could mean travelling once a month, for others (particularly client facing roles), this might be more like once or twice a week. We can give you more information about this during the interview process :)
OK, I’m interested. What experience do I need to have?
Experience working in a client or project environment in consulting, programme management or technology
Significant experience delivering technology or operational transformation programmes within NHS or wider public sector settings
Demonstrable track record of managing senior NHS stakeholder relationships, including at Director level or above
Experience of account growth or commercial development
We know from research and experience that candidates may not apply if they don’t think they meet 100% of our requirements. If you don’t tick all the boxes but feel you would be a good fit, we would still love to hear from you. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture!
We’re happy to make reasonable adjustments at any stage of the hiring process and in the role.
Just to let you know too, we will need you to have the Right To Work in the UK.
We are perfect for each other, what are the next steps ?
We are currently recruiting heavily and have a lot of CVs to go through. However, we don’t wait for roles to close before going through your CV. We will be in touch in a few days to let you know if we think we might be a match, and if we are not. Unfortunately, because we get so many CV’s we are not able to send a personalised reply if it’s not a match. However, if you want more details as to why, just drop us a note and we will arrange to get some feedback over to you.
If it’s a match, then we will arrange a time to talk to you on a quick 30 minute call. It’s just an informal chat so you can relax! We will tell you more about the role, the team and why you should want to join us.
If we continue, then we will invite you to meet some of the team, most likely virtually. Some of our roles will also be subject to completing an assessment or a role related exercise.
We get there are a lot of great roles out there, so we will make sure to get through the rounds as quickly as possible. All we ask is you keep us up to date with your plans.

An awesome team and mission? Oh, you want more?
We keep all of our Perks and Benefits updated on our careers page – we like to think there is something for everyone! Let us know if you have any questions regarding them.
As DrDoctor has grown, we are seeing more of our people wanting to socialise in different ways.
Whilst we know that some of us love to go to the pub, we want to make sure we are including a wide variety of activities and events for our teams to enjoy each other's company, we aim to continue creating an open space for anyone and everyone to suggest how they’d like to spend time with their teams.
We love a Summer and Christmas party and regular company/team socials and away days. In the past year or so, we have enjoyed AI Games, Agile Games, Terrarium Making, Wreath Making to name a few. We hold held various events for celebrations such as Holi Festival, International Women’s Day, Pancake Day and Pride celebrations and our Birthday!
