Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for 2 Senior Resilience Advisors to join the Glasgow City Council Resilience Team to support the Council’s Emergency Planning and Resilience arrangements.

The postholders will play a key role in ensuring the Council is prepared for, able to respond to, and recover from emergencies and Major Incidents They will help support the Council to comply with its statutory duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 by supporting the development, maintenance and testing of contingency plans.

Postholders wil participate in an Emergency Response Rota and will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the Council's response to Major Incidents in the City.

The postholder will represent the Council at multi-agency Resilience forums including the Local Resilience Partnership and Regional Resilience Forums.

Substantial experience in emergency planning, resilience or civil contingencies is required.
