The individual triages and resolves complex defects, delivers configuration changes safely, and owns the movement of releases through test environments into production. The focus is service continuity: keeping business-critical asset management platforms stable, performant, and responsive to change throughout their operational life. The individual partners closely with implementation teams and will contribute technical expertise to project and migration work as required. The role champions an AI-first approach both in the asset management solutions we support and in how we support them. Internally, this means applying AI and automation to accelerate defect diagnosis, root cause analysis, regression testing, and release validation, and building the reusable accelerators, intelligent agents, knowledge assets, and automation frameworks that improve consistency and productivity across client engagements. Client facing, it means identifying and developing opportunities to extend Maximo solutions with AI-enabled capability, moving clients from reactive maintenance towards predictive, data-driven asset management. - Provide front-end application support to end users and client super-users, resolving usability, access, and data issues
- Deliver configuration changes across Application Designer, workflow, escalations, conditional expressions, and security groups
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python/Jython, JavaScript) to extend standard functionality including AI-enabled automation and integration patterns where these deliver clear client value
- Maintain and enhance BIRT reports, KPIs, and ad-hoc reporting
- Apply a configuration-first approach, favouring standard functionality over bespoke customisation to protect upgrade paths and reduce long-term cost of ownership
- Own the promotion of changes through development, test, and UAT environments into production
- Package changes safely using DBC scripting and Migration Manager, producing deployment documentation and release notes, using approved AI-enabled tools to accelerate documentation and validation while maintaining appropriate technical review
- Plan and lead deployment windows, which may occasionally fall outside standard working hours
- Maintain environment integrity and configuration consistency across the client estate
- Monitor platform health and performance, identifying and addressing issues proactively
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce ticket volume and improve platform stability, identifying opportunities for AI-enabled automation, proactive support, and intelligent self-service
- Monitor and troubleshoot live integrations across MIF, REST and SOAP interfaces, and scheduled processes
- Apply predictive monitoring and anomaly detection to identify emerging platform issues before they affect users
- Apply AI and automation to service operations, accelerating defect diagnosis, root cause analysis, regression testing, and release validation
- Define, create, and maintain reusable AI-enabled support assets, intelligent agents, prompt libraries, runbooks, and automation frameworks for use across client engagements
- Identify and develop opportunities to extend client Maximo solutions with AI-enabled capability, including predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and intelligent decision support
- Document and structure support knowledge, recurring patterns, and lessons learned into reusable assets that improve service quality and reduce resolution times
- Contribute to responsible AI practice, including model governance and data quality, in regulated and safety-critical client environments
- Contribute technical expertise to implementation and migration projects as client demand requires
- Help grow the Maximo capability, shaping how AI is embedded into both our service delivery and our client offering
- Mentor junior support and development colleagues; lead peer review of configuration and code
- Support bids, client demonstrations, and service transition activity as technical subject matter expert
- Minimum 6 years' hands-on IBM Maximo experience, including delivery in a senior or lead technical capacity
- Strong hands-on Maximo configuration: Application Designer, workflow, escalations, conditional expressions, and security groups
- Proven defect triage and root cause analysis on live, business-critical systems
- Release and environment management, including promoting changes through test environments into production using DBC scripting and Migration Manager
- Experience working to client SLAs, with ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, and release management
- Automation scripting (Python/Jython, JavaScript) and strong SQL
- Working knowledge of Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and REST/SOAP interfaces, sufficient to monitor and troubleshoot live integrations
- Functional grounding in Work Management, Asset Lifecycle, Inventory, Procurement, PM/Job Plans, and Service Management
- Strong client-facing communication, with the judgement to translate a business problem into the right Maximo answer, including when that answer is standard functionality rather than a build
- Experience creating reusable delivery accelerators, automation frameworks, or AI-enabled assets
- Ability to identify where AI can add value to a client solution and articulate that case to technical and business stakeholders
- Hands-on delivery experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8 or MAS 9), ideally including an end-to-end migration
- Experience with machine learning, predictive analytics, or generative AI applied to asset management
- Maximo Health, Predict, Monitor, or Visual Inspection
- Familiarity with AI governance and responsible AI practice
- Java / J2EE MBO customisation
- Experience contributing to Maximo implementation or migration projects
- Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerised deployment
- Automated deployment pipelines and version-controlled configuration promotion
- ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tooling
- IBM Maximo Manage v9.0 or v8.0 certification, or MAS Foundation. Candidates without certification should be willing to achieve it within their first year, with funding and support provided
- Experience in Aerospace & Defence, MRO, utilities, rail and transport, oil & gas, or facilities management, or other asset-intensive regulated industries
