Are you a qualified teacher with SEN experience looking to move away from classroom teaching and focus on personalised, 1:1 education?

New Chapter Tuition is recruiting qualified teachers to deliver specialist 1:1 tuition to children and young people who are currently unable to access mainstream education.

Working alongside Local Authorities, schools and families, we provide relationship-led, trauma-informed tuition that helps young people rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning and achieve meaningful progress.

With consistent weekly timetables, additional paid planning time and a positive work-life balance, you'll have the opportunity to focus on individual learners without the demands of managing a classroom.

The Role

You'll deliver personalised, face-to-face 1:1 tuition in learners' homes, libraries, schools and community settings.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging, differentiated 1:1 tuition in Maths, English and other curriculum subjects.

• Supporting learners with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, anxiety and complex SEND.

• Planning individualised lessons aligned with learners' abilities, needs and EHCP outcomes.

• Building positive relationships that develop confidence, engagement and independence.

• Completing baseline assessments, monitoring progress and providing weekly tuition reports.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for qualified teachers who have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).

• Proven experience teaching children and young people with SEND.

• Strong knowledge of differentiated teaching and personalised learning.

• The confidence to plan and deliver engaging 1:1 lessons independently.

• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding.

• Reliability, consistent weekly availability and the ability to travel to tuition locations.

QTS or QTLS and relevant SEND teaching experience are essential.
