Nanny

Experienced Live-in Nanny / Housekeeper required for a permanent position in Belgravia, with primary responsibility for a new baby from December and a proactive, team-focused approach within a busy family household.

Job Summary

A family in Belgravia are looking for a warm, experienced and proactive Nanny / Housekeeper to join their household ahead of the arrival of their new baby in December. They would ideally like someone to start in October, giving the successful candidate time to settle into the household and get to know the older children before baby arrives. Once baby is home, their primary responsibility will be the new baby, providing experienced and nurturing care from the early weeks onwards. The family already employ a full-time and a part-time Nanny / Housekeeper who care for the older children and help keep on top of the household. Everyone works as a team, with childcare always taking priority, but equally everyone is expected to muck in and help where needed. They are therefore looking for a genuine self-starter — someone who is proactive. Being an absolute team player is equally important, and they would love someone warm, upbeat and personable who will work happily alongside the existing staff. This is a live-in role and weekend working is an important part of the position. The successful candidate will generally have two consecutive days off during the week, with the possibility of arranging approximately one weekend off per month.

Job Specification
• Taking primary responsibility for the new baby once baby arrives
• Providing experienced baby care and supporting feeding, sleep and routines
• Supporting Mum while breastfeeding is established
• Helping with the older children before baby’s arrival and when appropriate thereafter
• Working closely with the family’s existing Nanny / Housekeepers
• Mucking in with household duties when childcare responsibilities allow
• Using initiative and proactively identifying what needs to be done
• Working weekends as part of the regular schedule
