Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum guidelines
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and development
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support to foster improvement
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievements
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student behaviour and academic performance
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities to enhance teaching and learning practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching science at the primary or secondary level
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support student development
• Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with current research and best practices in science education
