Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum guidelines
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and development
- Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support to foster improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievements
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student behaviour and academic performance
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities to enhance teaching and learning practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching science at the primary or secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
- Excellent classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support student development
- Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with current research and best practices in science education
