About the Role
The DT Technician will provide technical and practical support for all Design & Technology lessons, ensuring workshops are safe, well-resourced, and fully operational.
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing materials and equipment for lessons and projects
• Maintaining workshop tools and machinery
• Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions
• Ensuring full compliance with health and safety procedures
• Managing stock and ordering supplies as required
• Assisting with project setups, coursework, and displays
Candidate Requirements
• Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a similar practical role
• Knowledge of workshop tools, machinery, and materials
• Awareness of health and safety regulations
• Reliable, proactive, and organised
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience within a school environment is desirable but not essential.
